The janger Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom is the exclusive owner of registered and unregistered intellectual property rights in a new design of hanger intended for shorts, jeans and trousers, but not limited thereto.
This new hanger is commonly referred to as a janger® and examples can been seen on www.thejanger.com.
The janger Ltd has partnered with Harrison IP Limited, 1st floor, Box Tree House, Northminster Business Park, York YO26 6QU, UK who are Chartered and European Patent Attorneys.
In addition, The janger Ltd has partnered with C3i Europe Ltd, Oakdale House, Bretton Lane, Chester, CH4 0DX.
These strategic partnerships police and legislate against all shipments of merchandise and garments for the sole purpose of identifying counterfeit jangers.
Harrison IP Ltd and C3i Europe Ltd are experts in their fields and give The janger Ltd the ability to legally protect their brand and products by their own strategic relationships globally with border agencies and customs officials.
The janger® is protected by multiple patent applications and granted patents including GB2474329 and GB2474314, and International Patent Number: WO2011/086376, which now has effect in territories including the US and Europe.
Additionally, the janger® is the subject of various design registrations, including registered Community (European) Design Number 001782624, United States Design Patent Application Number 29/392,072 and Pakistani Design Application Number 15661-D. Further European design rights exist in relation to various designs and shapes of this hanger.
“janger” is a registered trademark throughout Europe under Community Trademark Registration Number: 9767328 and other unregistered trademark rights also exist.
As part of the protection afforded by the registered and unregistered rights listed above, The janger Ltd reserve the right to request that unauthorised copies of the janger® are impounded by Border Agencies and Customs officials from entry into any country in which protection exists. In such situations, it is very possible that the items of clothing to which the unauthorised jangers® are attached may also be detained, thereby delaying those items reaching their intended destination. As a consequence, a company having their stock detained by Border Agencies or Customs because an unauthorised janger® has been used on their clothing item will most likely seek to recover the costs associated with that delay directly from the manufacturers of those unauthorized hangers. Additionally, The janger Limited will seek damages and compensation for any unauthorised jangers that are discovered.
In order to ensure that authorized versions of our janger® are readily identifiable, the authorized manufacturers regularly change features of, and/or markings on, the janger®. Additionally, RFID tags may be contained within the janger® to readily identify it. As a result, any old design of the janger® or any unauthorised janger® will be clearly identified upon entry into a territory in which protection exists.
We are willing to discuss terms for third parties to manufacture and import jangers, subject to appropriate fees being paid. However, we will vigorously enforce our registered and unregistered rights, where necessary, to ensure that the quality of the janger® is consistent and that nobody is infringing our rights in the janger®.
All manufacturers are required to agree and accept our terms and conditions, which includes full acceptance of our counterfeit policy.
All manufacturers who are supplied with jangers by The janger Ltd are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions and acceptance of our counterfeit policy.
